Important Notice Regarding MMSF Application for Funds
Effective May 1, 2013, all applications for funds submitted to the Foundation must be completed on the Application for Funds #1.13 form. Previous versions of the Application for Funds will not be accepted.
Please Note: Institutional Costs are not eligible expenses for MMSF Grants and Awards funding.
Our Process
The Foundation's unique review system of requiring applicants to present their projects in person to a panel of board members has special merit. Applicants are given the opportunity to demonstrate the command of their subject by verbal and visual presentation, to clear up misconceptions, to agree to required adjustments or augmentations and to gain assurance that their project has been well understood and received.
Requirements
The deadline for submissions is August 15th1 for funding in the subsequent year. No application will be considered after the annual allocation of funds until the following year's competition.
Ideally applications will not exceed 40 pages of text, single spaced, in total, on regular 8 ½" x 11" paper. All sections of the application form must be completed. If a section does not apply please state "Not Applicable" in the particular section. All questions may be directed to the MMSF Administrative Assistant. All applications must be completed on the MMSF application form. Applications that do not conform to these instructions will not be accepted.
Once completed, please submit seven (7) hard copies (the original application form plus six (6) copies) and one electronic copy, of the completed application form to our Administrative Assistant 2.
1 When August 15th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the deadline for submissions extends to the next business day.
2 The application will not be considered eligible for entry into the current competition unless the original hard copy, 6 duplicate hard copies and an electronic copy are on file at the Foundation by the competition closing date. The file name of the electronic copy submitted must be the principal applicant name as entered on the original hard copy of the application.
Note: This application form has been designed to be compatible with the use of computers, laser printers, etc. Download this form to your computer, fill it in and then print and submit your copies to the indicated address.
